My wife Amanda and I (Paul) decided one day to become our own bosses and embarked on opening our own bistro.

Paul qualified as a level 3 bicycle mechanic after he began preparations to retire from a 32 year Royal Air Force career, after finding a passion building custom bikes from our garage.

Sadly being diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma in March 2024, has brought Pauls side of the business to a sudden close. So for the foreseeable future the bike shop side of the business is closed.

The good news is that Pauls prognosis is good and he is hoped to make a good recovery, following treatment at St James Hospital in Leeds.

Located in the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds

Our shop is in the former HSBC Bank building situated right on the High Street in the picturesque market town of Horncastle, in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

There is parking avaliable in the market square (except on Thursdays and Saturdays) and behind the Post Office.

Lying at the south-west foot of the Wolds at the edge of the Fens, Horncastle is a bustling and attractive market town, renowned for its antique shops, with a fine heritage and unspoilt by modern developments. There are some notable historic buildings, including the 12th-century Church of St.Mary and it is a good base from which to explore the surrounding countryside.
